Daily Art: World Map - Stage 1

May 5th:

I am painting a map of the world on cork board for my sister. I grabbed a free map image off of the internet, blew it up to an appropriate size, then cut it up into individual images sized to print on a standard printer in Photoshop. The above image is of the map printed, trimmed, and taped together. I plan to cut out the continents and use the map as a stencil for painting on the cork board.

Daily Art: Doll Couch

April 16th:

I finished the couch upholstery in the wee hours of the morning. I love how it turned out. I don't even think that it needs the legs anymore.

Couch: DONE.

Daily Art: Doll Furniture

April 3rd:

My niece's birthday present is going to be a couch that I'm making by hand for her 18" American Girl doll. This is the beginning of it. I built it using old books, a photo paper box, glue, tape, and foam. There are some wood blocks below it that I'm planning to attach as legs.
