April 20th:
My mother asked me to finish a painting project that she started: this is the bottom portion of a birdbath that she painted the basin of. She also painted the cream-tone base color and flower stems and leaves that you see in this picture; I finished the rest.
April 19th:
I pretty much just colored this card. It was all that I was in the mood for.
April 18th:
I kind of love how the watercolors worked out on this card.
April 17th:
Back to drawing on cards. I'm pretty happy with this one.
April 16th:
I finished the couch upholstery in the wee hours of the morning. I love how it turned out. I don't even think that it needs the legs anymore.
Couch: DONE.
April 15th:
Today I drew patterns, cut fabric, and started sewing.

Not feeling up to work on the doll couch today - back to playing cards.

In honor of my niece's birthday, I'm getting back to working on her gift.

Believe it or not, this card is all ink as well - it's just quite a bit of opaque ink.

I just used ink again on this card.

Ink.

Ink and watercolor again.

This card was washed with watercolor, then accented with ink.

This card is all ink.
April 6th:
This time I painted the back of the playing card with watercolor.

Today was a photo day.

I decided to make a little project of painting and drawing on a deck of cards. This is the first one.
April 3rd:
My niece's birthday present is going to be a couch that I'm making by hand for her 18" American Girl doll. This is the beginning of it. I built it using old books, a photo paper box, glue, tape, and foam. There are some wood blocks below it that I'm planning to attach as legs.
April 2nd:
I went out to the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve today to take some photos. Most of the poppies were gone already, but I still managed to get a couple of good pictures.
April 1st:
Today I set up and rendered a few beauty shots of my model. Then I realized that I should probably pose my model before getting too crazy with the beauty shots...
