April 23rd:
My only real work today was a little bit of photo adjustment and layout. I drew these basic turn-around outlines of a character that I've been working on designing for awhile last summer, and now I'm feeling like I want to get back to it.
April 22nd:
Back to cards again. I'm extremely happy with this one.
April 21st:
This is probably the most basic graphic design that I have ever done. My sister is throwing my nephew a Minecraft-themed birthday party, and she asked me to put together these simple invitations. I grabbed the images off of the internet and laid them out with the text in Photoshop. (This project was so simple that I didn't even bother with InDesign, which I normally prefer for projects combining image with text.)
April 20th:
My mother asked me to finish a painting project that she started: this is the bottom portion of a birdbath that she painted the basin of. She also painted the cream-tone base color and flower stems and leaves that you see in this picture; I finished the rest.
April 19th:
I pretty much just colored this card. It was all that I was in the mood for.
April 18th:
I kind of love how the watercolors worked out on this card.
April 17th:
Back to drawing on cards. I'm pretty happy with this one.
April 16th:
I finished the couch upholstery in the wee hours of the morning. I love how it turned out. I don't even think that it needs the legs anymore.
Couch: DONE.
April 15th:
Today I drew patterns, cut fabric, and started sewing.
April 14th:
Not feeling up to work on the doll couch today - back to playing cards.
April 13th:
In honor of my niece's birthday, I'm getting back to working on her gift.
April 12th:
Believe it or not, this card is all ink as well - it's just quite a bit of opaque ink.
April 11th:
I just used ink again on this card.
April 10th:
Ink.
April 9th:
Ink and watercolor again.
April 8th:
This card was washed with watercolor, then accented with ink.
April 7th:
This card is all ink.
April 6th:
This time I painted the back of the playing card with watercolor.
April 5th:
Today was a photo day.
April 4th:
I decided to make a little project of painting and drawing on a deck of cards. This is the first one.
